While the weather turns decidedly cool, there will definitely be cool jazz played in Western New York. Hear the great music of jazz in several cozy warm venues. Here is a run down of Jazz In Town for this weekend:
Catch the Abdul-Rahman Qadir Quartet Friday night at the 31 Club beginning at 10pm.
Look for the Jazz Example once again at the Anchor Bar on Friday night beginning at 8pm.
Jazzline will be at the Roycroft Inn on Friday beginning at 7:30pm.
The Jon Lehning Quartet with special guest Matt Harris will be at Alternative Brews this Saturday beginning at 8pm.
A special performance of the Sound Trio with Reynold Scott on sax, Rishon Odell Northington on bass, and Abdul-Rahman Qadir on drums will take place at Pausa Art House Saturday beginning at 8pm.
All Hands will be at Oliver’s Restaurant once again Saturday beginning at 8:30pm.
Caputi & Company will be at the 31 Club this Saturday beginning at 10pm.
Anthony Re and The Flat Five will be at Hot Mama’s Canteen this Saturday beginning at 11pm.
Look for Trio Payazzo at the Phoenix Sunday beginning at 5pm with Andy Peruzzini on trumpet, Bernard Kunz on guitar, and Henry Fackelman on sax.
The Oydessey Jazz Ensemble will be at the Central PArk Grill this Monday beginning at 6:30pm.
