Jazz In Town: Memorable Holiday Jazz In Store

It has been an eventful week so far!  The Buffalo area treated the music of Phi DiRe, Pete and Will Anderson Trio, Houston Person, and Karin Allyson.

Last night, May 20th, at Williamsville East, the staff of Jo Lynn DeGolia, Carl Mazzio, Wayne Moose, Maureen Reilly, and Stephen Shewan created a fantastic program featuring legendary jazz saxophonist Houston Person and jazz vocalist Karin Allyson.  Initially joined by Lisa Hasselback on piano, Wayne Moose on bass, and Dan Hull on drums, the real stars of the show were the students who joined in one by one and then as an ensemble.  A rousing and entertaining performance that bodes well for the future of jazz!
