As the summer kicks off, the jazz stars are coming out. Right here in Buffalo we will have George Caldwell’s Starpeople project continue to bring us the music of Miles Davis. Look for Starpeople on Friday, June 12th beginning at 8pm at Pausa Art House.
Speaking of stars, hottest free jazz and jazz improvising sensation, Secret Keeper: Mary Halvorson and Stephan Crump, from New York City visit Buffalo on Thursday, June 11th at 8pm at Pausa Art House. See article here.
A last minute find also is the Gap Mangione Band will be at Medici House in East Aurora Wednesday June 10th at 7:30pm. Call for reservations!
The Historic Colored Musicians Club kicks off its inaugural Friday Night Concerts on Friday June 12th at 8pm with JazzWizz. The band features Bob Davis on piano (the new piano too!), legendary bassist Sabu Adeyola, and David Phillips on drums.
