Blue Stone Groove Up Next In Sunday Jazz Series on June 21st!

Blue stone groove 2On Sunday June 21st, we welcome the young dynamic band of Blue Stone Groove to the stage at 189 Public House in East Aurora.  This third performance for the JazzBuffalo Sunday Afternoon Jazz Series, in partnership with 189, puts the spotlight on the up and coming jazz artists in the Greater Buffalo area.  The performance kicks off at 4:30 pm.

Blue Stone Groove features the vocals of Einat Agmon, who has hit the scene in the last couple of years.  She uses her soulful and bluesy vocals to bring captivating arrangements to both standards and contemporary songs.  There is a power in her voice that makes you take notice!   The band also brings some of the young talents in jazz we are fortunate to have.

Dave Pinchoff will be on organ/keyboards and leads the band’s nifty arrangements.  Ellen Pieroni will be on alto sax, a young player with a riveting sound making the rounds throughout Buffalo with her own quartet as well as a guest for several bands.  Evan Kaderbeck will be on guitar along with Cambell Ryan on drums – and superb they are!  On bass will be Anthony Henry, one of the best bassists in a class of young bass players overflowing with talent.

It is worth mentioning here that the focus of this part of the jazz series is to shine a light on the future of jazz.  The abundance of talent emerging is fantastic!  The hope is many will show up at 189 Public House and be part of the celebration of youth in the WNY jazz scene.

Make it out tomorrow – and yes it is Father's Day – so bring your Dad also!

Keep Jazz Alive In WNY!!
