Gene Bertoncini With Cindy Miller
On Saturday July 18th at 6:30pm at Mezza Restaurant, Buffalo gets a rare and special visit from jazz guitar legend Gene Bertoncini who will be joined by jazz vocalist Cindy Miller from Rochester. Bertoncini’s has played with the greats throughout his career such as Wayne Shorter, Paul Desmond, Tony Bennett, Michael Moore, Edyie Gourmet, Lena Horn, and Nancy Wilson. His discography covers a span of four decades. Cindy Miller is a gifted entertainer and shines in jazz vocalese. Bassist Wayne Moose, as a special Wednesday Night Jazz event, hosts this concert – except on Saturday. Here is a beautiful video of Bertoncini performing "My One And Only":
Don Rice Returns
Saxophone jazz balladeer Don Rice returns to the Buffalo New-Albright-Knox Art Gallery series this Sunday July 19th at 2pm. Rice has become a regular fixture over the years on his annual trek back to the WNY area.

Mark Filsinger’s Eleventet band makes another appearance at Pausa Art House Thursday, July 16, at 8pm. While the bands features a who’s who of jazz in WNY, what shines are the refreshing as well as stellar arrangements and compositions of Mark Filsinger.
Quiet Nights
Look for a special evening of Jobim, Gilberto, bossa nova, and jazz samba on Friday July 17th at 8pm featuring jazz vocalist Mary McMahon. Joining Mary will be Tim Clarke on trumpet, Michael McNeil on piano, Mike Moser on guitar, Wayne Moose on bass, and Tony Zambito on hybrid percussions. Music especially catered for a hot summer night!
JazzBuffalo Sunday Afternoon Jazz Series
The July installment of the JazzBuffalo Sunday Jazz Series in partnership with 189 Public House returns Sunday July 19th at 4:30pm with the enterprising and fabulous singer as well as musician Steve Balesteri. Joining Steve with be bassist extraordinaire Rishon Odel Northington, Tim Webb on drums, and Joey Gonzalez on keyboards. Steve promises an entertaining show featuring jazz standards and jazz twists on pop songs.

Wednesday Night Jazz, hosted by bassist Wayne Moose, continues next week with singer Mike Costly paying a visit to his hometown.
The Queen City Jazz Festival will be held on Saturday July 25th beginning at noon. A full day of great jazz presented by the Historic Colored Musicians Club.
Jazz vocalist Paul Marinaro from Chicago will be performing three dates in August at the Premier Cabaret in MusicalFare. Brought to you by JazzBuffalo and MusicalFare Theatre. The Saturday show is sold out and a third show has been added so reserve tickets early for this one too!
