The next installment of the JazzBuffalo Sunday Jazz Series, in partnership with 189 Public House, takes place Sunday July 19th at 4:30pm at 189 Public House. The featured artist will be the multi-talented musician and vocalist Steve Balesteri. Joining him will be the superb national jazz bassist Rishon Odel Northington, Tim Webb on drums, and Joey Gonzalez on keyboards.
It will be an added treat to have Rishon Odel Northington as he is home from currently touring with three-time Grammy nominated Smooth Jazz artist, Najee. It is bound to be an entertaining show as Steve is well-known for his arrangements on jazz standards and providing a twist on pop songs.
Steve can be classified as a modern day crooner. He is a graduate of Amherst High School and the University of Buffalo. Studying in music and influenced by the likes of listening to Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, and Michael Buble as her matured.
Known for his entertaining group as well as solo shows throughout WNY, Balesteri has also chartered new territory in working on his own original compositions. This past spring, Steve released “Live In Studio EP”, a precursor to an upcoming full-length album this fall.
