The Buffalo Jazz Scene gets a special visit on May 22nd as the Peter and Will Anderson Trio returns to the Premier Cabaret Lounge of MusicalFare Theatre. Their appearance brought to you through the JazzBuffalo and MusicalFare partnership, gives all of us the chance to hear what many heard recently at the special presentation Moonglow: The Magic Of Benny Goodman. The concert was performed at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on March 5th.
Below is a portion of that concert for you to enjoy and to hear the brilliance of Peter and Will Anderson, who will be joined in Buffalo by Alex Wintz on guitar. Be sure to go online at MusicalFare Theatre or call 716-839-8540 to reserve your seats.

In the late 1930s, a bespectacled white man who played the clarinet was a teen idol. That was Benny Goodman, and he got to be that way from leading a quartet with Lionel Hampton, Teddy Wilson and Gene Krupa — jazz's first major mixed-race band. In a special stage show written by Geoffrey Ward and narrated by Wendell Pierce, a young band with a rotating cast of clarinetists tells the whole story at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Jazz Night In America learns about the history of the Benny Goodman Quartet, onstage from The Appel Room.
