Since the early days of jazz in New Orleans, brunch events have always been associated with jazz music. If you visit New Orleans, Chicago, or New York City today, you will find a jazz brunch happening on a Saturday or Sunday somewhere in these cities and their surrounding areas.
JazzBuffalo is excited to partner with The Hollow Bistro & Brew in idyllic Clarence Hollow to initiate the First Saturday Jazz Brunch series. In a few short years, the bistro has earned a stellar reputation for its’ excellent dishes and ambiance. Katie Yu, the proprietor of the establishment, has developed a diverse menu and a comfy décor that has earned a loyal following.
In May of this year, The Hollow Bistro has expanded with a new building construction to include additional dining capacity, a private dining and event space, and an outdoor patio. A refreshing and enterprising expansion. Clarence Hollow on Main Street in Clarence, New York attracts many visitors during the spring through fall months as it is a center for antiques and seasonal events. The Hollow Bistro will surely be one destination people will plan to visit. It also was recently recognized by Buffalo Spree in its' best of WNY annual edition.
The First Saturday Jazz Brunch will kick off on Saturday, June 4th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. It will feature the jazz trio of George Kane on guitar, Tim Clarke on trumpet, and Wayne Moose on bass. Three of the area’s most talented jazz musicians that will provide the best in jazz. The series will take place every first Saturday of the month and we look forward to bringing a diverse group of musicians throughout the series.
JazzBuffalo and The Hollow Bistro look forward to what we hope will be a long-running and highly anticipated monthly brunch of sumptuous and excellent foods, as well as, the best in jazz music.
