The weekend of August 25 and 26 turned out to be quite the spectacular weekend! The Northwest Jazz Festival in Lewiston, NY is estimated to have had a record crowd and we were blessed with beautiful weather and great jazz music filling the air. On an individual level and on an organizational level, JazzBuffalo was extremely privileged to help make this year's festival a special one for musicians and audiences alike. Many thanks to all the superlative musicians who performed and to the audiences who cheered them on. Also, would like to note the generosity of bassists Ed Croft and Brian DeJesus in lending their upright bass and amps to two of the performing groups. And, hats off to unsung heroes like Jeff Jordan who organized the operations of the festival and to the staff of the Niagara Region Chamber of Commerce, Jennifer Pauly, Christina Crane, and Suzanne Raby who worked countless hours in making the festival a huge success it was this year!
