On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, we remember the 18th anniversary of 9/11. One of the darkest days in American history. Marking this important date, JazzBuffalo and Drea d’Nur join together to host a Remembrance Concert that will honor the 2,983 men, women, and children who perished in the attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93.
The Remembrance Concert will take place at the Hotel Henry Jazz Concert Series, held at the Hotel Henry located on Rockwell Road and Cleveland Circle in Buffalo, NY, beginning at 7:30 pm.
The evening will be led by international jazz artist and community activist Drea d’Nur. International vocalist, pianist and Buffalo Native, Drea d’Nur, has music singles in Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany. Honored for her Award-Winning Tribute to the legendary Nina Simone, performed globally including at Kleinhans Music Hall, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and the Hotel Henry Jazz Concert Series, Drea d’Nur will present a spiritual-infused and intimate performance in remembrance of 9/11.
We hope you can join us for an evening of reflection and remembrance honoring the 18th anniversary of 9/11.
