Jazz In Town: Waiting For The Warm Up

(Photo: You can catch drummer and vocalist Reggie Evans with his jazz-fusion band Decent Exposure next Wednesday.)

As we look ahead to spring and summer (yes, I know there is still snow on the ground!), we will undoubtedly have more live jazz outdoors.  The civic responsibility we all carry is to ensure the safety of others.  This means getting fully vaccinated so that we can all enjoy live music as a community.

Jazz Artists and Venues Submit Your Events

A considerable investment was made to offer a fully-featured platform for jazz artists and venues to submit their events and for jazz fans and patrons to be aware of where they can find jazz music.  With summer approaching and more jazz music becoming available, we are calling on all jazz artists and venues to make sure they submit their events using the JazzBuffalo Submit Your Event capabilities.  There is a Submit Your Event block right on the JazzBuffalo home page (bottom right corner) or you can go directly to the Submit Your Event page here: https://jazzbuffalo.org/upcoming-events/community/add

Sending a Facebook message, email, or text will not ensure that your event is listed.  The Submit Your Event feature was built for you.  Please use it so jazz fans can be aware of where you are performing.

Jazz Appreciation Month

Every April, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History sponsors a month-long celebration of the true American art form we call jazz.  A time to listen to and support jazz.  Look for ways to celebrate.
