Valentine’s Day is just shy of 10 days away and time to make plans. Start off with our featured jazz event!
Featured Event – Svetlana – Valentine’s “Love at the Movies”
The next Live at Seneca One Jazz Series concert will feature the jazz swing sensation Svetlana with a stellar core band from New York City augmented by two of Buffalo’s rising stars. The core band will feature the Israeli composer/upright bassist Adi Meyerson, composer/drummer Curtis Nowosad, and composer/pianist Willerm Delisfort. All three are prominent jazz artists and musicians in their own right. Providing horns for the occasion will be Jacob Jay on trumpet and Dalton Sharp on sax from the Jay Sharptet group. Art of Jazz Returns in 2022
In 2022, we hope to see the return of larger events and one we can look forward to is the return of Art of Jazz. While the Albright-Know Art Gallery continues its transformation, we’ll be hosting the Art of Jazz at Kleinhans Music Hall in the Mary Seton Room. The acknowledged masters of the Sacred Steel guitar, the Campbell Brothers have electrified audiences coast-to-coast with their unique blend of African-American gospel featuring steel guitars and soaring vocals. For this special performance, the Campbells will perform John Coltrane’s jazz classic A Love Supreme, recasting Coltrane’s iconic work with their signature slide guitars while capturing the album’s transcendent message in a joyous, not-to-be-missed concert experience.
