Our community was met by an unspeakable force of evil and tragedy in last Saturday’s mass shooting. We mourn for the victims and their families as well as our community. Victims who must never be forgotten. This morning, I was reminded of the scripture from Exodus 16:4 that reads: “The Lord said to Moses, I will rain down bread from heaven for you.” And it has been so these past few days as food banks, WCK, and other organizations have rained down foods, counseling, and support in a community that lost its primary source of food shopping in the Tops location. Our community will empower good to triumph over evil this summer.
As we begin our second season of Summer of Jazz, we’ll do all we can to celebrate our community as one united. Choose love.

2nd Season of Summer of Jazz Taking Shape
Last summer, due to the pandemic, we brought to you our first-ever Summer of Jazz. Free jazz events for the community to enjoy in our very limited summer season! This year, we will offer the Summer of Jazz once again! Free jazz at JazzBrunch Sundays at the Terrace, JazzMondays at Tappo Rooftop, Jazz at Chandlerville, and Piano and Cocktail Fridays at the Terrace. Look for a special announcement next week for a new “beyond jazz” series on Wednesdays. With more possibilities forthcoming this summer. An exciting Summer of Jazz is ahead for our community!
