It has been a fabulous few weeks of jazz! The Summer of Jazz continues as we attempt to make jazz music accessible and FREE in our community.
As we celebrate the 4th of July, it is important to recognize the role jazz has played in being a voice for freedom in our nation. In these perilous times of turmoil, jazz once again represents the voice and music of freedom!

Alex McArthur Quintet at Jazz at Chandlerville
Alex McArthur is a jazz vocalist residing in Buffalo, NY. Winner in the JazzBuffalo Poll for Female Vocalist of the Year in 2021 and 2018, she is one of the region’s favorite vocalists, artists, and performers. You can expect to hear everything from Ella Fitzgerald and Nancy Wilson, to Esperanza Spalding, Gretchen Parlato, and many more. Plus, her own compositions may be heard. She will be joined by some of the area’s finest musicians!

The popular Jazz at Chandlerville Series will make a return to the Chandler Street destination for a fourth season. Last year, the outdoor use of the enhanced street stage across from Thin Man Brewery / Tappo Pizza located at 166 Chandler Street in Buffalo, proved to be a welcoming success! My Cousin Toné at Jazz at Chandlerville
In existence for 10 + years, My Cousin Toné is noted for its’ well-rehearsed and unique arrangements. The band is the winner of the most recent 2021 JazzBuffalo Poll for Favorite Large Ensemble Jazz group in the region.
