The 2023 Grammy Nominations In Jazz Announced

The 2023 65th Grammy Nominations were announced today.  Including nominations in the Jazz Categories.  Nominating categories for jazz music include categories for improvised jazz solo, jazz vocals, jazz instrumentals, jazz large ensemble, and Latin Jazz. 

Notable among the jazz artist is Samara Joy receiving nominations in the Best Jazz Vocal Album category but also a rare nomination by a jazz artist in the Best New Artist category. John Beasley picked up two nominations for his Bird Lives project. Cecilé McLorin Salvant continues her streak of garnering Best Jazz Vocal Album nominations with a nod for her album Ghost.  In the Best Latin Jazz category, Miguel Zenón received his 10th Grammy nomination for his epic Música De Las Américas album.

Winners of the 2023 65th Grammy Awards will be announced on Sunday, February 5, 2023. The awards show will air on CBS at 8 pm ET.
