The importance of sustaining jazz music in our city has never been greater. Jazz music continues to evolve as an integral contributing factor to the enrichment of the arts and culture in Buffalo.
JazzBuffalo is commencing our “Put Buffalo On The Map!” end-of-the-year fundraising campaign. Your contributions help make possible a thriving jazz scene that includes a unique digital platform, cultural partnerships, venue partnerships, concerts with award-winning jazz artists, and support for our next generation of jazz musicians who will sustain jazz music in the future.
Since 2011 when we began with our free weekly newsletter, JazzBuffalo has been on a mission to not only revitalize jazz as a key asset for the city but also to contribute to the renaissance of Buffalo. Developing initiatives designed to “Put Buffalo On The Map!” in the eyes of those living outside of Buffalo and those residing here.
And “Put Buffalo On The Map!” we have! Amazing concerts at Seneca One, Kleinhans Music Hall, and more. Support of jazz festivals and jazz series that rival some of the best in the country. Including our first-ever Buffalo Jazz Festival this past Labor Day weekend! A jazz scene that is enabling fantastic musicians to return to Buffalo and become part of our new generation of jazz artists. A scene that has given our jazz musicians opportunities to perform!
With supporters like you, we are building up the JazzBuffalo organization to not only put together amazing concerts but also make a year-round impact in the community in a multitude of ways. And to have a measurable influence on the next generation in our city.
