Northwest Jazz Festival Announces 2023 Lineup Of Jazz Performances For Four Stages

Center Street Will Come Alive With An Exciting Variety Of Jazz For Everyone To Enjoy

The Northwest Jazz Festival in Historic, Lewiston, NY will take over Center Street for two days in August 2023 once again. Scheduled to take place on Friday, August 25, and Saturday, August 26, the festival will consist of five stages filled with performances and musicians from the WNY region. Recently, the festival announced its lineup for the Main Headliner Stage to include the United States Air Force Rhythm in Blue Band, Benny Benack, III, Heather Bambrick, Janet Evra, Greg Abate, and the supergroup Something Else! featuring Vincent Herring, James Carter, and Randy Brecker.

Ellen Pieroni’s Encyclopedia of Soul

In addition to the Main Headliner Stage, four stages will present performances featuring local, regional, and national jazz artists.   The Center Street Stage will feature exciting jazz from Ellen Pieroni’s Encyclopedia of Soul and other first-time performers such as the Joey Gonzalez Collective. And include the tandem of vocalist Alex McArthur (JazzBuffalo winner for Jazz Female Vocalist of the Year) and saxophonist John Troy.

Continuing an initiative started in 2017, the festival will once again provide a stage for our youth to shine with performances by Matt’s Vocal Performance Team on the Center Street Stage on Friday, August 25.   The Peace Garden Stage this year will highlight contemporary and jazz duo music.  The DiCamillo Courtyard Stage will focus on jazz keyboard solos while the Frontier House Stage will present notable trios and quartets that include Adam Bronstein’s quartet, from the west coast the Dave Hill Group, and Billboard artist Kevin Hall Band.  The Frontier House Stage music will be kicked off by next-generation performers, The Quentet.
