Celebrate April Is Jazz Appreciation Month With Fabulous Jazz Music

April is Jazz Appreciation Month returns as a month-long celebration of jazz music and its cultural significance. It was established in 2001 by the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institution to honor the rich heritage of jazz music. Encouraging organizations and people to celebrate the music and explore ways to appreciate jazz.

What makes Jazz Appreciation Month special is its celebration of a truly American art form that has had a profound impact on music and culture around the world. Its impact is felt globally and it is why on the last day of each April, April 30th, we also celebrate International Jazz Day. Profoundly, the month-long celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month brings people together as a community. People connect from across generations and cultures to share in the love of the music we call jazz.
