Ian Liedke Trio To Make Their Debut Performance
Ian Liedke is an accomplished pianist with over 20 years of experience playing in various genres. A graduate of SUNY Fredonia with a degree in music performance, Ian has performed in prestigious venues in Buffalo, New York City, and beyond.
The trio will be performing at Pausa Art House on Saturday, February 10 at 7 pm. In the quartet, you find Ian Liedke on piano, James Benders on bass, Ryan Cavan on drums, and special guest John Troy on saxophone.
Inspired by the legendary Bill Evans, Ian’s trio format brings a modern jazz flair to the stage. Expect tunes from Thundercat, JD Beck and Domi, Roy Hargrove, and Ian’s unique arrangements of classic jazz standards and original compositions.
Ian has been performing in venues such as Pausa Art House, the Buffalo and Saturn Club, and both the Northwest Jazz Festival in Lewiston, NY, and the Buffalo Jazz Festivals. During his time living in the New York City area, Ian was a part of numerous jazz gigs in and around the NYC area. He’s had the opportunity to perform with and collaborate with acclaimed musicians like Bruce Johnstone, Cory Henry, Arturo Sandoval, and Bobby Militello. Currently involved in several jazz groups, Ian is also developing both a trio and larger-sized ensembles.
With over 25 unique musicals under his belt in Buffalo and NYC, Ian is no stranger to the stage. He has directed several productions, showcasing his versatility with MainStage and mastery of various musical styles.
We welcome the debut performance by the Ian Liedke Trio to the jazz community. Another welcome addition of the next generation making their mark in jazz.
