Jazz in Buffalo: Experience an Oasis of Jazz

All-Star Jazz Brilliance at Art of Jazz Series

On Friday, April 12th, you can experience and support the brilliance of jazz music as bassist Rodney Whitaker brings to Buffalo an all-star ensemble, including trumpeter Terell Stafford and saxophonist Tim Warfield, to perform. A special program awaits the audience as Whitaker will lead the ensemble in a performance of the musical compositions of Gregg Hill. Specifically, in keeping with our theme of bringing studio mastery to the live stage, they will feature the acclaimed album “Oasis: The Music of Gregg Hill” from 2023.

This exceptional concert will take place at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum.

We’ve got an exciting lineup of jazz in store for the 2024 Northwest Jazz Festival in Lewiston, NY. To put on the largest jazz festival in the region takes money and resources. The annual fundraiser returns this year to the Brickyard Brewing Company on Center Street in Lewiston on Sunday, April 14th and will feature “Celebrate the Great American Songbook with My Cousin Toné” for entertainment. Announcements of scheduled performances on the festival’s Main Stage will be made as well as other scheduled performances throughout the five stages. Please get tickets and support!
