Jazz in Buffalo: Looking Ahead To More Celebrations

An Amazing April To Remember

April 2024 marks Jazz Appreciation Month, and it will surely be etched in our memories for the number of fabulous events we experienced. Throughout the month, we were treated to Rodney Whitaker’s Oasis: The Music of Gregg Hill at the Art of Jazz Series, the awe-inspiring performance by Miguel Zenón and Luis Perdomo, winners of the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album, the grand finale of Art Meets Jazz at the Hunt Art Gallery/Beebe’s at the Gallery, a memorable visit by two-time Grammy Nominee Raul Midón, and the harmonious JazzBuffalo’s 6th Annual International Jazz Day Celebration. It was undeniably an extraordinary month to be cherished!

Beyond the events themselves, April was a testament to the unity of the jazz community, rallying around the shared goal of bringing people together. We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in these wonderful musical experiences, contributing to the strengthening of bonds within the JazzBuffalo Community and the jazz community at large.
