Pete Malinverni To Kick Off Great American Songbook Celebration at the Northwest Jazz Festival in Lewiston, NY!


The Northwest Bank Main Stage Celebration of the Great American Songbook is scheduled for Friday, August 23rd, and Saturday, August 24th.

Friday night will mark a special homecoming as the festival will showcase the extraordinary New York City pianist and Lewiston, NY native, Pete Malinverni. Malinverni will kick off the festivities at 6:00 pm with a performance by the Pete Malinverni Trio. Later at 8:30 pm, Peter will be joined by the incredible jazz vocalist Anaïs Reno and acclaimed jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein.

Pete Malinverni, since leaving his hometown of Lewiston, has become a prominent figure in the New York City Jazz Community since the early 1980s. He has consistently honed his craft, exploring the rich repertoire of the Great American Songbook, including compositions by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and Leonard Bernstein, alongside his original works. Alongside selections from the Great American Songbook, Malinverni draws inspiration from various sources, offering a sincere reflection of his identity as an artist and an advocate of spreading joy through music.
