Excitement is in the air as we unveil the much-anticipated Jazz at Richardson 2024 season lineup. Set against the historic Richardson-Olmsted Campus backdrop, these community-based concert experiences promise a celebration of music, community, and legacy like no other.

The schedule:

Sunday, June 23rd, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm: Maria Sebastian’s American Songbook

Sunday, July 14th, 4:30 to 7:30 pm: Wendell Rivera Latin Jazz Ensemble

Sunday, August 11th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm: Tony Monaco Tribute to Joey DeFrancesco and Dr. Lonnie Smith

Sunday, September 1st, 12:30 pm to 7:30 pm: The 3rd Annual Buffalo Jazz Festival

Kicking off the season on June 23rd, we welcome the incomparable Maria Sebastian’s American Songbook performance. Known for her versatile and captivating vocals, Sebastian will transport us through the timeless melodies of the American Songbook, paying homage to legends like Peggy Lee, Doris Day, and Frank Sinatra.

On July 14th, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable time with the Wendell Rivera Latin Jazz Ensemble. Voted as the region’s favorite Latin Jazz Band in the annual JazzBuffalo Poll, Rivera and his ensemble promise to fill the Richardson-Olmsted Campus with the vibrant rhythms and infectious energy of Latin jazz, creating an atmosphere that will have you dancing under the stars.

On August 11th, we pay special tribute to two Hammond B3 greats, Joey DeFrancesco and Buffalo-born Dr. Lonnie Smith, with a special performance by acclaimed organist Tony Monaco. Monaco hailed as one of the best Hammond B3 organists in jazz, will take us on a musical journey through the soulful sounds of the Hammond B3, honoring the legacies of DeFrancesco and Smith in true jazz fashion.

And finally, we bring the season to a grand finale on September 1st with the Buffalo Jazz Festival. Join us as we showcase some of the finest talents in jazz from across the region, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of our beloved city.
