Happy Father’s Day

We wish all fathers a joyful day with their families and friends. We also fondly remember the fathers who have passed away, whether recently or long ago. Jazz music and favorite songs from the Great American Songbook keep their memories close to our hearts.

We’re looking ahead to another exciting Summer of Jazz! Outdoor concerts, festivals, and even indoor events will provide plenty of opportunities to bring our community together through the power of jazz. JazzBuffalo + Jazz at Richardson: The Heartbeat of Our Jazz Community

Friday, August 16 at 7:30 pm we will welcome the renowned jazz vocalist Nancy Kelly to Jazz at Richardson inside the Richardson Hotel in a special “pre-fall” preview concert. Nancy will be joined by saxophonist Jerry Weldon (Harry Connick, Jr.), organist Dino Losito, and drummer Carmen Intorre, Jr. (Pat Martino). Over her 40-plus-year career, she has perfected her signature swing/bop take no prisoner’s back to the roots swinging style in front of audiences all over the U.S.A. and abroad.

Friday, September 13 at 7:30 pm we will welcome acclaimed New York City-based jazz vocalist Marianne Solivan. She’ll be joined by her quartet celebrating their newest album release – RE-ENTRY. Solivan has made a name for herself as a hard-swinging, passionate, vocalist who has a commanding stage presence and is able to captivate audiences with her joyous exuberance and wit. Having performed and recorded with the likes of Christian Mcbride, Peter Bernstein, Jeremy Pelt, and Lewis Nash, Solivan has been consistently raising the bar for singers of her generation.
