Jazz in Buffalo: The Heartbeat of Our Vibrant Jazz Community

The Much-Anticipated Jazz at Richardson is Here!

Jazz at Richardson is the kind of community-driven event that not only nurtures and builds up our vibrant jazz community but also enriches the entire Buffalo community. It’s a time when we come together through the universal language of music, celebrating the beauty of one of Buffalo’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

Our goal is to establish Jazz at Richardson as a central hub for jazz in Buffalo, both indoors in the magnificent architecture of the Richardson Hotel Buffalo and outdoors at the Richardson-Olmsted Campus. We aim to welcome local musical artists while creating unique experiences featuring national and international talents. Join us in building a one-of-a-kind jazz center for Buffalo!

Our deepest and sincerest thanks to the supportive people of the Douglas Development Corporation and the Richardson Hotel Buffalo!

Join us this Sunday, June 23rd at 4:30 pm for the first of four outstanding Jazz at Richardson events! We will feature Maria Sebastian’s fabulous American Songbook show. Relive the great American songs we love through Maria’s beautiful interpretations, accompanied by a band with Buffalo Music Hall of Fame members.

Jazz at Richardson takes place at the iconic Richardson-Olmsted Campus park area, on the Forest Street side of the Richardson Hotel Buffalo. Bring lawn chairs and umbrellas to protect you from the sun (and maybe a sprinkle or two, though we hope not!). It’s okay to bring coolers, and we’ll have two food trucks on site: Moneybag Dumplings and Shishkabob Heaven.

We’ve chosen to keep this a community event rather than a splurge with a big stage. Last year’s most memorable aspect was its great community vibe. So, gather family, friends, and music lovers, and come enjoy the event. If you don’t have anyone to go with, don’t let that stop you! The people are great, and you’re sure to meet new friends and run into old ones. Enjoy the great music!

(As we’ve done in the past, we’ll be making a collection to help support the cost of putting Jazz at Richardson on for everyone to enjoy!)
