A Day of Thrilling Joy and Exciting Jazz at the Buffalo Jazz Festival

Uniting Through Jazz: A Day of Joy, Dance, and Celebration at the Buffalo Jazz Festival

The 3rd Annual Buffalo Jazz Festival at the historic Richardson Towers delivered an unforgettable day of joy, music, and community. Over 2,000 attendees gathered on the lush south lawn of the Richardson-Olmsted Campus and the grounds of the Richardson Hotel Buffalo to celebrate Buffalo’s vibrant jazz culture in one of the city’s most iconic settings.

The festival started with the elegant sounds of Vibrant Strings, whose captivating performance set the perfect tone for the day. Audiences were then treated to the swinging energy of My Cousin Toné, followed by the smooth, sophisticated notes of the Jay/Sharptet. The celebration continued with the electrifying rhythms of the Wendell Rivera Latin Jazz Ensemble, which had the crowd up and dancing to irresistible Latin beats. Closing out the day was a rousing performance by the Fredtown Stompers, whose lively New Orleans-style jazz filled the air with joy and excitement – and some fabulous swing dancing by the crowd

It was a day where people of all ages came together, braving moments of rain, but dancing through it all. The Buffalo Jazz Festival not only celebrated the richness of jazz but also embodied the spirit of unity and happiness that brings our community closer together. The joy and happiness amongst the community present was palpable and infectious!

It was a great day for our jazz community and our city. Circle the date of August 31, 2025, for the 4th Annual Buffalo Jazz Festival!
