Celebrating Timeless Classics From the American Songbook and Setting the Stage for a 10th Anniversary in 2025
As summer fades, so too does the ninth season of JazzBuffalo’s JazzMondays at Tappo Restaurant Rooftop Patio, a yearly series that has brought life and jazz to downtown Buffalo. The finale will take place on Monday, September 9, marking the end of a memorable 9th season celebrating the timeless Great American Songbook.

Special thanks go out to the dedicated staff at Tappo, who helped create the perfect setting for these musical evenings. It’s hard work going up the stairs multiple times and they do it while whistling to the music!
This summer saw the most enthusiastic reception yet, with record-breaking attendance as the community gathered weekly to enjoy the swing and rich history of the American Songbook. The rooftop came alive with the vibrant sounds of My Cousin Toné, which included members—Kathy Carr on vocals, Andrew Perzzini on trumpet, Dalton Sharp on saxophone, Pete Dauphin on trombone, Mary DiCiccio on bass, Elliot Sneider on piano, Abdul-Rahman Qadir on drums and Tony Zambito on percussion— and brought joy, clapping, and dancing to audiences with every performance.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of our vibrant jazz community, JazzBuffalo’s JazzMondays will continue into 2025, celebrating its 10th anniversary and reaffirming our commitment to honoring the Great American Songbook. We are already looking forward to celebrating more birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and more.
Stay tuned for exciting My Cousin Toné “Live at JazzMondays” performances throughout the year at different indoor venues! Due to popular demand, JazzBuffalo and Tappo will continue the music on Mondays downstairs in the restaurant with intimate duo and trio performances.
Here’s to a decade of jazz, community, and celebration! We can’t wait until Memorial Day 2025!
