Jazz in Buffalo: A Monumental Tribute Concert

A United Community Celebrates!

We are deeply grateful for the tremendous support behind the Harold Arlen 120th Birthday Celebration—a true testament to the power of a united community. From the enthusiastic audience to the incredible performers, volunteers, and media partners who helped bring this vision to life, the event was a shining moment in Buffalo’s rich musical legacy. Your passion and commitment to celebrating our city’s contributions to the Great American Songbook made this tribute unforgettable. (Be sure to catch our recap article, in the ICYMI section, and see all the wonderful comments!)

As we carry this spirit forward, we look ahead to the next Art of Jazz Series presentation, where we welcome the acclaimed jazz pianist Joe Alterman on Sunday, March 9 at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum. Alterman will pay tribute to the legendary Les McCann, honoring their deep bond while showcasing his own signature sound—”southern jazz,” a joyful blend of blues, swing, and soul. Join us for another extraordinary afternoon of music!

Warm regards,
Tony Zambito
