Art Meets Jazz Builds Downtown Revitalization
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our vibrant Cinco de Mayo – Art Meets Jazz celebration at Beebe’s at the Gallery and the Hunt Art Gallery! The fusion of Wendell Rivera’s Latin Jazz Quatro, stunning visual art, and an enthusiastic crowd made for a fun and memorable evening—another shining example of our community coming together to revitalize downtown Buffalo’s arts and culture landscape. Your energy and support continue to fuel our mission of uniting music and art in the heart of the city.
On Sunday, May 18th, we’re thrilled to welcome the Emmet Cohen Trio to the Buffalo AKG Art Museum for the final Art of Jazz Series concert of the season. This sold-out performance promises to bring yet another exceptional gathering—proof that Buffalo’s passion for live jazz helps drive our cultural and economic renaissance. Thank you for being part of JazzBuffalo’s ongoing journey to celebrate and strengthen our community through great music.

Caity Gyorgy – A Must-Attend Concert!
We keep highlighting this event because, with each passing week, it becomes even more unmissable. Rising-star vocalist Caity Gyorgy earned her third JUNO Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album with Hello! How Are You?. On April 16, she released Asking for Trouble, a duo album with Mark Limacher celebrating the songs of Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls). And don’t miss her new single, That Doesn’t Matter, arriving May 16 as part of a full-string-arranged album due out this summer!
She’s set to appear at major festivals this summer, including her debut at the Monterey Jazz Festival. With her distinctive vocals and songwriting gifts—qualities that truly set her apart in the world of jazz vocalists—it won’t be long before she claims a Grammy win.
How does that old saying go? Trust me, you will not want to miss this!
