A Rising Star in Jazz
The countdown is officially on! In just 12 days, Caity Gyorgy, the dazzling jazz vocalist who’s quickly becoming one of the most talked-about artists in jazz today, will make her Buffalo debut at the beautiful Kleinhans Music Hall – Mary Seaton Room on Friday, June 21 at 7:30 pm.
Hot off her third JUNO Award win for Best Jazz Vocal Album and riding high with her new album Asking for Trouble, Caity is captivating audiences with her stunning interpretations of timeless standards and her clever original compositions. This is a rare opportunity to experience a future jazz icon in an intimate concert setting—before she headlines the Monterey and Montreal Jazz Festivals this summer.
As someone who has had the privilege of helping bring next-generation artists like Veronica Swift, Emmet Cohen, Samara Joy, and Anaïs Reno to Buffalo, I can tell you – this performance will be equally memorable. Her command of swing, her storytelling, and her sophisticated phrasing call to mind the legends—while carving out something uniquely her own.
So many of you have been clicking, reading, and thinking about attending. Now’s the time to make the leap. Don’t let this be one of those shows you hear about afterward and wish you had seen.
