An Exciting Swinging Finale For Art Meets Jazz!

Join us Wednesday, June 18, for a special night of jazz, visual art, cuisine, and community as we wrap up a remarkable spring season downtown.

As the spring season of Art Meets Jazz comes to a close, we invite you to be part of a very special finale on Wednesday, June 18, beginning at 6 pm, that promises to leave a lasting impression. This unique series, which has brought together the vibrancy of local visual artists and the captivating allure of live jazz, has helped spark new energy in downtown Buffalo’s growing arts and cultural landscape.

“soft cuts” exhibit by Karle Norman

For our closing event, we’re thrilled to feature the stunning contemporary exhibit “soft cuts” by Buffalo-based artist Karle Norman, whose work invites reflection through color, texture, and abstraction. Complementing this artistic experience is the swinging jazz of Ann Mitchell, the acclaimed Rochester jazz vocalist, who will pay tribute to the iconic Peggy Lee. Expect timeless tunes like “Fever” and “Why Don’t You Do Right,” along with lesser-known gems that celebrate Lee’s cool sophistication and enduring influence.

This final spring evening isn’t just about the music and art — it’s about community. It’s about enjoying great drinks, tasty dishes from Oralia Traditional Mexican Cuisine, and being part of the movement to reimagine downtown Buffalo as a true arts destination.

Whether you’ve joined us before or are experiencing Art Meets Jazz for the first time, we invite you to help us close this chapter on a high note before we take a summer hiatus. Let’s celebrate what we’ve built — and what’s to come.

We can’t wait to see you!
