Buffalo Spree honors the Hunt Art Gallery’s Christina Buscarino for her community impact
I am thrilled to extend congratulations to Christina Buscarino for her well-deserved recognition as “Best Arts Administrator” in Buffalo Spree’s 2025 “Best Of” issue.
This honor speaks volumes about Christina’s dedication and commitment to advancing the arts in Buffalo. As Gallery Director of the Hunt Art Gallery, Christina has played a pivotal role in making the gallery a dynamic cultural space, one that does far more than showcase visual art. The gallery has become a beacon for creative collaboration, and we at JazzBuffalo have been fortunate to partner with her on one of our most beloved programs: Art Meets Jazz.
Together, we’ve created a series that bridges two vibrant modes of artistic expression—visual art and jazz music—uniting communities in shared experiences that nourish the spirit and celebrate creativity. Art Meets Jazz has become more than a performance series. It has been a cultural gathering point and an example of how art can serve as a powerful catalyst for downtown Buffalo’s revitalization.
Thanks to Christina and the passionate team at Hunt Art Gallery and Beebe’s at the Gallery, we’re creating a thriving arts and cultural hub in the heart of our city. Their efforts, led by Christina, are helping to reshape perceptions of downtown Buffalo as a destination for inspiration, celebration, and community.
Congratulations again to Christina Buscarino on this recognition. The arts community is stronger—and our city is more vibrant—because of her tireless work and commitment.
