An Overflowing Cup of Jazz!
We are deep in the heat of summer—and we’re also deep in the heat of jazz! What an incredible time to be in Buffalo, with an abundance of jazz filling our parks, patios, streets, and stages. The energy is vibrant, the talent is overflowing, and the love for live music is being felt all across the city.
And guess what? We’re just getting started. Over the next six weeks leading up to Labor Day, we’ll be treated to a fantastic run of festivals and special events that continue to put Buffalo on the map as a true jazz destination. That’s been a crucial mission, goal, and aspiration for JazzBuffalo all along—to help foster a vibrant jazz community that brings people together and celebrates this truly American art form.

JazzBuffalo will bring the spirit of Jazz to downtown with a reimagined format. On two of the original Richardson dates, we’ll transform Ellicott Street, closed to traffic, in front of Tappo Restaurant into a vibrant dancing in the street party atmosphere, the kind you’d find in New Orleans or other great jazz cities.
