Lewiston Jazz Festival is Cherished
This weekend, we come together once again in Lewiston for one of the region’s most cherished traditions — the Lewiston Jazz Festival, the largest free jazz festival in Western New York. It’s always a special gathering where thousands of us meet in the village streets to celebrate jazz, friendship, and community. This year, we’ll be treated to the Hammond B3 Summit on the Main Stage Friday night and Saturday — with the power of a real Hammond B3 and Leslie mighty sound lighting up the stage — and on Saturday, the incomparable trumpeter and vocalist Jumaane Smith leads a joyful tribute to the one and only Louis Armstrong.
And the music doesn’t stop there. Next weekend, we look forward to seeing everyone at the 4th Annual Buffalo Jazz Festival at the closed-off Ellicott Street in front of Tappo Restaurant, where we’ll gather once more to close out summer together with a full day of free music in the heart of downtown Buffalo.
