Jazz in Buffalo: A Jazz Center To Be Proud Of

The First Meaningful Step

The past few weeks marked a meaningful first step forward for jazz in our city with the launch of Jazz at Kleinhans. The community’s and your response have been inspiring — with 4-Concert Packages reaching their goal, affirming a shared belief that world-class jazz and the celebration of the Great American Songbook belong at one of our nation’s most treasured music halls. Individual concert ticket sales are now open, and it’s exciting to see momentum continue to grow.

The vision has always been to bring world-class jazz to a stage and a jazz center that matches its artistry—one embodied by the elegance, rich history, and acoustical beauty of Kleinhans Music Hall, where the Great American Songbook and the home of one of its greatest composers, Harold Arlen, can be celebrated with the pride our city deserves. This moment sets the stage for a future where jazz continues to thrive — accessible, inspiring, and celebrated as an essential part of our cultural identity. It is only the beginning, but a good one it is!

Your willingness to embrace this new initiative means so much — and it’s the very reason it will succeed.

With gratitude,
Tony Zambito
Executive Director, JazzBuffalo
