Emergence of the Next Generation
One of the most inspiring developments in Buffalo’s jazz community is the emergence of a new generation of talented and imaginative artists. These young musicians are not only carrying forward the rich traditions of jazz but are also pushing boundaries with creativity, curiosity, and a fresh sense of expression. We must nurture and encourage their artistry to shine — for they represent the future of jazz in our city and beyond.
A perfect example of this spirit can be found in the upcoming Art Meets Jazz event, where two next-generation artists — both recognized in the JazzBuffalo Poll — will take audiences on a bold and imaginative musical journey. They’ll explore what happens when The Beatles’ timeless melodies meet the distinctive, lyrical style of Vince Guaraldi. This inventive fusion reflects the kind of creativity that defines our emerging jazz voices today. Let’s show our support and be part of this exciting moment — get out and experience this truly unique and inspiring performance!
With gratitude,
Tony Zambito
