A Remarkable Beginning: The Jazz Lounge Sells Out in Just Days

A Sold-Out Debut and a New Chapter for Jazz in Downtown Buffalo

JazzBuffalo is thrilled to share some truly exciting news with our community. In just a short couple of days, our inaugural Jazz Lounge event at Milton’s inside the historic Statler has officially sold out. The overwhelming response to this new endeavor has been nothing short of inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support.

Bringing The Jazz Lounge to life is an opportunity to create something unique for Buffalo — a vintage-inspired jazz evening in one of the city’s most iconic architectural landmarks, a venue rarely open to the public. Your enthusiasm tells us that this type of experience resonates, and that our community is eager to gather, listen, connect, and take part in something truly special.

As always, jazz is bringing us together.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our good friends at Buffalo Rising for their fantastic story on the launch of The Jazz Lounge, beautifully capturing the spirit and vision behind this new endeavor. You can visit the story at this link: JazzBuffalo Launches The Jazz Lounge

A New Experience for Downtown Buffalo

The quick sellout of opening night reflects not only excitement for this new jazz experience but also the continued momentum of jazz playing an important role in reenergizing downtown Buffalo. Through initiatives like JazzMondays at Tappo, Art Meets Jazz, the Buffalo Jazz Festival, Jazz at Kleinhans, and now The Jazz Lounge, JazzBuffalo remains committed to creating meaningful cultural experiences that enrich our city and bring people into its historic core.

We are honored to have the opportunity to present this new experience in such a treasured space — and even more honored to share it with you.

Because of the extraordinary response to opening night, we have now opened reservations for the remaining Jazz Lounge dates. Based on early interest, we anticipate these evenings will fill quickly as well.

  1. Congrats, Tony, I’m very familiar with the history of Jazz at the Statler during the 20s and 30s through my father and people who actually worked there. I look forward to stopping by. Congrats on expanding Buffalo’s Jazz venues and community with class.
Be sure to look up Mr. Carol McLaughlin’s quartet or big band as you move forward, and Melissa Kate’s Jazz Trio and Quartet.

    1. Many thanks, Van! The history is so rich at the Statler that we’ll work on telling it! My uncle performed there years ago also. Who knew that the Statler had big band orchestras in the 20s and 30s!? As always, appreciate your kindness and support. And yes, must look up!
