Building Our Future in Jazz and Revitalization Together
There are moments when we are reminded that jazz is not only an art form—it is a living bridge between where we’ve been and where we are going. In Buffalo, we are fortunate to stand on a remarkable musical legacy. The ballrooms, theaters, and gathering places that once echoed with swing and song are part of our cultural DNA. But legacy alone is not enough. It must be activated. It must be reimagined. And it must be shared with new generations who will carry it forward.
That is the heart of what we do at JazzBuffalo. Our cornerstone programs—Jazz at Kleinhans, The Jazz Lounge, and others—are designed to honor that rich history while contributing to the revitalization unfolding around us. When we present jazz in storied spaces or introduce audiences to artists who embody both tradition and innovation, we are creating new “todays” that connect past brilliance with future promise. We are building experiences that help longtime jazz lovers feel at home and invite the next generation to discover that this music—and this community—belongs to them, too.
With gratitude,

The Jazz Lounge Tonight!

Tonight, we are especially excited for The Jazz Lounge as it comes alive in the historic Rendezvous Room at the Statler. This is more than a night of music—it’s a meaningful step in downtown’s continued revitalization and a powerful reminder of how the arts anchor community. By bringing jazz back to the Statler, we honor its storied legacy while embracing a bright future where live music gathers us together and breathes new energy into our city. Jazz has always had the power to unite—and tonight, it does so once again in a place where history and possibility meet.

Please take a moment to read the stories in the section below for all the details. We also hope you will make reservations for all scheduled Jazz Lounge events in the Rendezvous Room.

First, some exciting news! If you haven’t heard, we’ve opened additional seats for the limited-engagement Emmet Cohen Presents: Miles & Coltrane at 100. We were just three seats away from a sellout. Still, part of our mission at Jazz at Kleinhans is to meet high demand whenever possible—and to make these extraordinary performances as accessible as we can for our community.
Second, we are down to just 13 seats for the John Pizzarelli Trio and their “Dear Mr. Bennett” tribute. Act soon! And – don’t forget we have the Grammy-Nominated project BEATrio and Grammy-Winner Gregory Porter.
Third, we are planning and building our 2026-2027 Jazz at Kleinhans season. We are excited about something truly extraordinary forthcoming!
