When Few Seats Remain
Earlier this week and in the previous week, we shared that there were just a few seats remaining for the upcoming John Pizzarelli Trio tribute to Tony Bennett at Jazz at Kleinhans.
Not long after, messages began arriving.
“Any chance more seats could be made available?”
It’s a question we were grateful to receive, because it reflects something we’ve hoped to build with Jazz at Kleinhans — a community that truly values the opportunity to gather around the Great American Songbook and jazz.
Thanks to our partnership with Kleinhans Music Hall, we were able to release additional seating so more members of our community can attend.
From the beginning, our goal in establishing Jazz at Kleinhans has been simple: to present jazz at a higher artistic level while making it accessible to the community. The flexibility of Kleinhans allows us to do exactly that — whether expanding seating in the Mary Seaton Room or, when appropriate, presenting performances in the Main Hall.
We are grateful for the trust and enthusiasm you continue to show JazzBuffalo and Jazz at Kleinhans. Together, we are creating something meaningful for our city — bringing extraordinary artists to Buffalo and creating places where people can gather around great music.

The Jazz Lounge Update!

As promised, we would take the time to reflect and make a few tweaks to help each Jazz Lounge experience become better!

Here are some tweaks we will make:
- Doors will open at 6:30 pm, and music starts at 7:30 pm instead of 8 pm.
- We will add an extra bartender to the bar service
- Basic snacks, in the variety of chips and pretzels, will be available for purchase
- Lighting of the stage and musicians will be added
- We will ask attendees who are the listening type to sit in the lower level.
- We will ask that conversations be kept low out of respect for the musicians and other attendees
Our hope with the Rendezvous Room is to achieve a respectful balance between social and listening. We can achieve this!
We hope you will make reservations for all scheduled Jazz Lounge events in the Rendezvous Room. Don’t delay—based on the response so far, these newly released spots are going quickly. Reserve your spot now:
