A Thrilling Season Unveiled This Sunday
There is more to come—and we are excited to share it with you.
The full Jazz at Kleinhans 2026–2027 season will be unveiled this coming Sunday at Kleinhans Music Hall, presented in conjunction with the John Pizzarelli Trio’s tribute to Tony Bennett. The afternoon will offer audiences an early look at a thoughtfully curated season that continues to build on the momentum, enthusiasm, and artistic growth of this expanding series.
The upcoming season will feature an exceptional roster of acclaimed artists, including Grammy Award winners and Tony Award nominees, reflecting both the depth and breadth of jazz and its enduring connection to the Great American Songbook tradition.
The season will culminate in a landmark presentation—Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves celebrating the ballads of John Coltrane on Thursday, April 22, 2027—a rare and deeply anticipated artistic collaboration that stands as a defining moment of the season and the Jazz at Kleinhans premier program.
In addition, the Jazz at Kleinhans season will continue two meaningful annual traditions: the beloved Christmas-themed Swing Show, bringing festive swing and seasonal spirit to Kleinhans, and the annual Harold Arlen Celebration, honoring one of the Great American Songbook’s most enduring and influential composers.
As we look ahead, three guiding priorities continue to shape Jazz at Kleinhans:
- Establishing Jazz at Kleinhans as Buffalo’s premier destination for jazz performance
- Deepening the program’s connection to the historic jazz legacy of Kleinhans Music Hall
- Strengthening Buffalo’s identity as a Great American Songbook city, rooted in the enduring legacy of Harold Arlen
