As we prepare for the 5th Annual Buffalo Jazz Festival, we are sending a simple invitation to help us keep the festival free and open to everyone.
As we get ready for the 5th Annual Buffalo Jazz Festival this Sunday, we want to make a simple request of our JazzBuffalo community.
In past years, we’ve collected donations at many of our free outdoor events such as this year’s Summer of Jazz series. This summer, we decided not to do that. We wanted people to come, enjoy the music, and experience what we’ve been creating together downtown.

For the 5th Annual Buffalo Jazz Festival, however, we’re asking for your help.
The cost of producing a free festival has risen considerably. Staging, sound, musicians, production, and all the things that happen behind the scenes add up quickly, particularly as inflation continues to affect nearly every aspect of presenting live music.
Yet one thing remains important to us: we want the Buffalo Jazz Festival to remain free and open to everyone.
If you’re able to donate to help us offset some of those costs, we would be very grateful. You can contribute now through Venmo or PayPal using the links or QR codes below, or you’ll have an opportunity to donate while you’re with us on Ellicott Street Sunday.
There is no obligation. Come and enjoy the festival either way.
But if you value having a free Buffalo Jazz Festival—and believe, as we do, that Buffalo deserves a festival worthy of its name—your support helps us continue building it.
Thank you for being part of the JazzBuffalo community and for helping us keep the music accessible to everyone.
