A Christmas thank-you from JazzBuffalo as we return to the historic Rendezvous Room at the Statler for one more Jazz Lounge evening in 2026.
There is something about the Rendezvous Room at the Statler that feels right for Christmas.
Maybe it’s the history of the room. Maybe it’s the intimacy of being there with the lights down, a drink at the table, and live music. Over the course of this year, we’ve watched The Jazz Lounge become the kind of place where people don’t simply come to hear music. They come to spend an evening out.
So we thought we would end the year a little differently.
On Thursday, December 17, we’re bringing Christmas at The Jazz Lounge to the historic Rendezvous Room. There will be music from the Great American Songbook and the Christmas songs that have become part of the season, with the rising star jazz vocalist Vanessa Vacanti and a fabulous quartet performing for the evening.
There will be room for dancing. Cocktails and wine will be available for purchase throughout the evening, along with a special pop-up menu from Chef Jess. And, of course, there will be plenty of time to sit around a table with friends and enjoy being there.
That’s really what we want this night to be.
A Christmas Thank You
We’ve been fortunate this year to see people embrace The Jazz Lounge.
Some have been with us from the beginning. Others discovered it for the first time this year. We’ve seen people come back, bring friends, celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, dance, and sometimes just settle into a table and listen.
That support has meant a great deal to us.
For our final Jazz Lounge evening of 2026, we wanted to say thank you. So we’ve made tickets for Christmas at The Jazz Lounge just $15.
It’s our way of thanking everyone who has helped make The Jazz Lounge such a special experience this year, while also making it possible for some who haven’t had the chance to experience it to join us.

Christmas Music in the Rendezvous Room
Vanessa Vacanti has become a familiar voice to many in the JazzBuffalo community, and she’ll be at the center of the music for this evening with a quartet.
We’ll be drawing from the Christmas songs generations of us have grown up with, along with music from the Great American Songbook. It’s music that seems particularly at home in a room like the Rendezvous Room.
The Jazz Lounge has always been about the whole evening. Listen to the music. Talk with friends over a cocktail or glass of wine. And when the music moves you, there’s room to dance.
It’s an evening meant to be enjoyed at your own pace. That’s the experience we’re hoping to create.
One More Night at The Jazz Lounge
When we began The Jazz Lounge, part of the idea was to bring back a way of experiencing jazz that Buffalo once knew very well. A beautiful room. Tables filled with people. Music close enough that you can feel part of it. An evening that doesn’t need much more explanation than that.
We’ve seen glimpses of that throughout this year.
For one final evening in 2026, we’ll add Christmas to it.
