19th Annual Queen City Jazz Festival

Save the date and join The Colored Musicians Club & Jazz Museum on Saturday, July 29 at Lafayette Square in Downtown Buffalo for the 19th Annual Queen City Jazz Festival.
Gerald Albright Music and Spyro Gyra will headline the festival with opening performances from Rod Bonner, The Damone Jackson Outcome, and GLVT LOVEXtreme JAZZ Ensemble.
The festival will feature Gerald Albright, showcasing his exceptional skills in playing both saxophone and bass. In the 80s, he established himself as the consummate session and touring musician, collaborating with renowned artists such as Anita Baker, Ray Parker, Jr., Atlantic Starr, The Temptations, Maurice White, Les McCann, Teena Marie, the Winans, and Whitney Houston.
Also making a return for their second hometown visit in less than a year is Spyro Gyra, one of the most successful jazz fusion bands in the modern era, having been established in the mid-70s. They have enjoyed over 40 years at the top of the jazz fusion charts. Rod Bonner, Damone Jackson Outcome, and GLVT Love Xtreme Jazz Ensemble will shine a spotlight on the emerging local jazz and smooth jazz talents helping to create a diverse and vibrant jazz scene.
