Caity Gyorgy: 3-time JUNO Award Winner!

JazzBuffalo and Kleinhans Music Hall are excited to present rising star jazz vocalist Caity Gyorgy for an unforgettable evening of jazz!

Join us at Kleinhans Music Hall’s Mary Seaton Room as we welcome three-time JUNO award-winning Canadian vocalist Caity Gyorgy. Known for her remarkable bebop and swing performances, Gyorgy has dazzled audiences across North America and worked alongside iconic musicians like Christine Jensen, Emmet Cohen, Benny Benack, III, and Postmodern Jukebox. Her unique voice and her original compositions in the Great American Songbook style have earned her accolades such as the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize in Jazz for her song “Secret Safe.”

As DownBeat Magazine puts it, “Canadian jazz singer Caity Gyorgy, in addition to having a warm voice and swinging phrasing, is a skilled songwriter whose originals sound as if they are from the 1950s with more modern lyrics.” This blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication shines through in her live performances, delivering a nostalgic yet fresh take on jazz standards.

WholeNote magazine also praises her versatility, noting, “While having a beautiful voice is plenty to recommend any singer, also knowing how to use it in the myriad ways that Caity Gyorgy does puts her high up the list of young singers to watch.”

Caity’s latest album, Hello! How Are You?, has been receiving glowing reviews and praise, and her live performances are nothing short of captivating.

Joining her will be the phenomenal Mark Limacher, the acclaimed jazz pianist who collaborated with Gyorgy on the widely praised duo album ‘You’re Alike, You Two.’ In which the dup performed the music of Jerome Kern. His expressive playing and deep musical connection with Caity perfectly complement her infectious energy.

Don’t miss this chance to experience the impeccable vocal artistry of Caity Gyorgy as she delivers a stunning performance filled with swinging rhythms and modern takes on timeless jazz standards.
