Elliot Scozzaro Sextet

Sunday, October 13, 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

$5 – $12

A graduate of Kenmore East High School, Elliot Scozzaro has gone on to earn a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from North Texas State University where he played lead alto in the prestigious, One O’Clock Lab Band. Upon graduating, Scozzaro enjoyed a year-long tour with the World Famous Glenn Miller Jazz Orchestra. We are very lucky to have him living back in the area and serving as Program Coordinator for the Buffalo Jazz Collective.

For this concert, Scozzaro will be joined by Glen Miller bandmate, Brendan Lanighan on trombone (who is on loan to us from NYC where he studies at Juilliard). Mark Filsinger, Joe Goehle, Nick Weiser, and John Bacon round out the sextet for what is sure to be an exciting afternoon of original compositions, arrangements, and transcriptions.
