Elliot Sneider presents: Merciful TRVLR Ensemble

Building on the momentum of their recent Tribute to Jack DeJohnette, the Merciful TRVLR ensemble returns to Pausa with a new program centered on original music and collective improvisation. Rooted in the same spirit of deep listening and musical conversation, the group expands beyond the repertoire to explore new compositions shaped by each member’s voice. The result is an intimate, dynamic performance that blends structure and spontaneity, honoring the lineage of the music while pushing it forward in real time.

Featuring:

Tim Clarke (trumpet)

Marc Cousins (bass)

Abdul Rahman Qadir (drums)

Dalton Sharp (saxophone)

Elliot Sneider (piano)

Elliot Sneider is a pianist, composer, and improviser whose work blends jazz tradition with personal storytelling. His playing draws on the language of American jazz while leaving room for spontaneity, risk, and lyricism. Whether performing solo or in ensemble settings, Sneider’s music emphasizes deep listening and collective conversation over flash, shaped by a belief that music is something shared rather than delivered.
