The Original River Dogs traditional jazz band will be doing their first show since the pandemic at River Grill!
Trumpeter/pianist/vocalist Jon Seiger will be a special guest on this special evening.
Seiger has performed around the world and has earned an international reputation for his spot-on Louis Armstrong vocal stylings. He also studied trumpet with the late legendary Roy Eldridge, and he performed with Ella Fitzgerald (when he was working in Benny Carter’s band at Carnegie Hall). Millions of Western New Yorkers have seen Siger in the long-playing whimsical commercial he did for Airport Jewelers, but he is a serious jazz musician who graduated from The New England Conservatory when Gunther Schuller was there.
The band will have Jon Seiger/trumpet/vocals, Ray Skalski/trombone/vocals, George Kane/guitar & banjo, Paul Zapalowski/acoustic bass, and Tom Kasperek/drums.
The show at River Grill will be an early Birthday Celebration/Tribute for Louis Armstrong who turns 120 this year (born August 4th,1901).
