“In Those Days” – With Chris Vasquez

Internationally recognized tango singer Chris Vasquez moved back to the Buffalo area in 2015, after traveling the world for years, performing at illustrious venues and entering top competitions. Chris has developed a breadth of singing abilities that concentrate on the world of tango music. Recently, Vasquez was the winner of the Buffalo Philharmonic’s recent “Buffalo Sings” competition in collaboration with Moshe Shulman and Ivan Docenko. The trio will celebrate an international array of music including tangos, boleros, American standards, Yiddish, Russian, French songs and more.

A few years ago, Chris came away with the best singer award at The International Tango Music Competition hosted by the New York Consulate of Argentina and was a finalist in the Medellín International Tango Festival. He also performed a one-man show, The Son of Tango, about the life of the legendary tango singer Carlos Gardel.
