James Benders Trio
Friday, February 10, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
“My biggest inspiration as a bassist has always been Scott LaFaro on the Bill Evans Trio recordings from 1960 and 1961. After years of playing in numerous groups and styles in Buffalo and beyond, I view this ensemble as a way to return to my roots and explore something in that style with some like-minded individuals.” – James Benders
One of Buffalo’s next-generation rising stars, bassist James Benders, leads his own trio featuring John Snell on piano/keyboards and Josh Sabo on drums.
The Trio will perform as part of the Burchfield Penney Second Fridays sponsored by M&T Bank.
