Jazz at Chandlerville
Thursday, July 11 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until Thursday, September 5, 2019
155 Chandler Street and the entire block of Chandler Street is undergoing an amazing transformation. The recently celebrated opening of the Thin Man Brewery/Tappo Restaurant is just the beginning of an ongoing renaissance for this historic street.
JazzBuffalo is partnering with the teams of folks involved in the development of Chandler Street to bring to the community Jazz at Chandlerville. Beginning Thursday, July 11 and every Thursday through August 29, JazzBuffalo will present jazz in the courtyard of the 155 Chandler Street complex. Beautifully accented with the mural paintings of Chuck Tingley and a landscaped courtyard for an early evening of jazz, drinks, and more.
BlackBird Cider Hall opens up to the Courtyard and makes for a great gathering place for craft brewery drinks. And, across the street is the newly opened Thin Man / Tappo Wood Fried Pizza location.
We will feature music from the Buffalo Brass Machine, DeeAnn DiMeo Tompkins, the Patti Parks Band, the Jazz of Mary Ramsey, Donny Frauenhofer Band, Wendell Rivera’s Latin Jazz Ensemble, Hot Club of Buffalo, Tim Clarke Soul-Tet, and more…
The good news is there will be parking available as a new parking lot is being constructed and will be ready for the first event.
This is an exciting development for the community, the summer of 2019, and for the resurgence of the landmark street. Stay tuned for more information and details…
